Preview Screen:
The preview screen will display the information as depicted below. This is very similar to what is in the original spec, with the exception of the Properties page.
Behavior: When the user selects a path, the properties displayed, below will change accordingly.
When the user selects a server, the properties displayed, below will change accordingly.
Finish Screen:
If we decide to have the finish screen, it will be the same as defined in the specs. With the only difference being the addition of some information.
Tab Order:
Main Tab Control - (Monitor, Manage, ect..) will be accessible through the access keys.
Content - Once the focus on a tab is established, the tab key will be used to navigate, using the keyboard, through the controls. Once the user has reached the list of job types the behavior is: Move, the first item will be selected and the user will use the arrow keys to navigate up and down the list. If the user hits the tab key, the focus will return to the content UI (ie: 2a). No Access keys will be used for the left pane tasks, just the arrow keys.
Multiple Lists:
- Once the user has tabbed to a list, the up and down arrow keys may be used to navigate up and down items in the list.
- Once the user has tabbed into any of the search control drop-downs, the up and down arrows may be used to navigate the items in each of the drop-down controls.
FOCUS: focus on this page should begin on the first item in the left task pane, (ie:"Move"). Once in the content area the focus for the double list "Choose Source" page will begin in the "Search Resources by:" control. The default item in the control (no filter) should be selected.
Single List:
- Once the user has tabbed to a list, the up and down arrow keys may be used to navigate up and down items in the list.
- Once the user has tabbed into any of the search control drop-downs, the up and down arrows may be used to navigate the items in each of the drop-down controls.
FOCUS: focus on this page should begin on the first item in the left task pane, (ie:"Move"). Once in the content area the focus for the single list "Choose Source" page will begin in the "Search Resources by:" control. The default item in the control (no filter) should be selected.
Move: Choose Destination
FOCUS: focus for the Choose Destination page will begin in the "Search Destinations by: " control.
Property Sheet Tab Behavior:
The tab behavior for a property sheet is as follows:
- The tab order will go to the first control on the first tabbed page, if the property sheet has edit controls in the tabbed sheet.
- The tab order will go to the first tab, if there is only static display text in the tabbed sheet, as shown in the Move: Choose Destination image above.
- To navigate between tabs via the keyboard, the CTRL + Tab key combination will be used.
Name Job
FOCUS: focus for the Name Job page will begin in the "Job Name" field. The default text in this control should be highlighted, if there is a default. If there is not a default name then the field should have focus and an i-beam cursor so that the user can begin typing in a name.
Preview
FOCUS: focus for the Preview page will begin in the "Start Date" control. The default text in this control should be highlighted, if there is no default text, then the field should have focus, meaning the i-beam cursor should be there so that the field is ready to accept an entry.
When a user selects an item in either list, as these lists are mutally exclusive, the related properties will display below in the General Properties sheet.
Migrate > Choose Image
FOCUS: focus for the Choose Image page will begin in the "Choose Image" list, on the right. The first item in the list should be selected.
Deploy> Image Variables
FOCUS: focus for the Image Variables page will begin in the "Domain" field control. The i-beam cursor should be here, ready to allow the user to type in the field.
Deploy> Define Shares
FOCUS: focus for the Define Shares page will begin in the "Choose Source:" list control. The first item in the list should be selected.
